I'm sure that by now you've all seen #Pellichoopulu.The movie is receiving a lot of appreciation for its beautiful story. Many of us are unaware that “Pellichooplu” was partly based on real life story. Yes. The food truck plot in the Movie is based on Siddhanth Sawkar and Gauthami Shankar who are the real life Prashanth and Chithra.
After completing his masters in sound engineering he had some big dreams in music industry and wanting to be a pilot. Siddhanth's life took a completely different turn when he choose barbecuing, his favorite hobby, as career.. He started his food truck, Spitfire BBQ, when he completed his certification programs in hospitality management and Italian cuisine.
Siddhanth started his first venture in the year 2007 with the Spitfire BBQ home catering. There has been no looking back for him since then. Along with partner Gauthami, Siddhanth started the food truck on 5th of May 2014 in Bengaluru.
The main driving forces behind starting the spitfire BBQ truck was Chef John Nocita and his family. Apart from the food industry Siddhant is also a part of the automobile industry. He is designing a chain of luxury cars and bikes which are eco-friendly by nature. Yes! You read that right!
The Spitfire BBQ food truck was the only barbecue food truck in India. The truck stops at kammannahalli, Sahakar Nagar, Indira nagar. Siddhath was truly a real inspiration for the people who hope to pursue their hobby as career.
Interesting fact, Siddhanth played a cameo in the movie as the chef who takes on Prashanth as his apprentice.
