The actor is famous for his unusual characters and has developed a cult fan base both in Kannada and Telugu. This director-cum-actor started his journey under the veteran actor and director, Kashinath as a writer and assistant director. His first film as a full fledged director was Tharle Nan Maga, in the year 1992 which was a huge success. In the mid 1990s he directed Om, which portrayed actual Bangalore gangsters, followed by A, which was his debut film as an actor. From then, he came up with many creative scripts and mesmerising characters. The actor is celebrating his 50th birthday today as we speak.
