Chai Bisket has established and already endorsed the fact that Telugu people claim an important place in the country. A little research made us realize that we are not just important but also the first of many. Here are the Telugu people who made it before anyone else in the country in their respective fields.
Sarvepalli Radha Krishna: Despite being born in a humble family at the far end of Andhra Pradesh, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnayya (as he signed in Telugu) soon became one of the most prominent people of the country.
Bommireddy Narasimha Reddy: Born in Kadapa, he turned around the face of that age's contemporary cinema. He was known to balance artistic values and business needs, an art a lot of film makers struggle to attain even today!
Hanumappa Muniappa Reddy: He started off as an Inspector of Police, but soon enough became the game-changer for Telugu cinema.
Vishwanatha Satyanarayana: A writer, poet, orator and a Philosopher, he hailed from Nandumuru of Krishna District. He revolutionized "free-verse" in a strictly bigoted stream of poetry in the Telugu land.
Cottari Kanakaiya Nayudu (CK Nayudu): This Vijayawada lad, was known to be incredibly reliable, and skilled on field.
FYI, he was also the first Indian cricketer to endorse a brand.
Mothavarapu Bucchi Babu: His dream of having a ground open to everyone to play and he worked all his life exactly for that.
Pydimarri Venkata Subba Rao: Born in Anneparthy, he was the one who wrote the pledge all of us chanted every morning at school!
Pingali Venkayya: He sadly came into limelight only posthumously, after living a battered life and suffering a death in poverty.
While these are just the ones from the yester-years, in this day and age, there are just as many Telugu people who are keeping up the pride by being ahead in the race.
