Vizag has been monikered as the City Of Destiny. Apart from being a major industrial hub of the state, it is also a prime location for tourists. The serene beaches, scenic mountainside locations make it a must-visit for any traveler. To top all this, Vizag will now house the "World Telugu Museum". This Museum will chronicle the history and evolution of Telugu language and Telugu culture. This is a great way to present our culture and heritage for our future generations.
The museum will house, paintings, wood work, kalamkari work and 10 large lepakshi paintings that adorn the hallway. The entrance room displays 70 portraits of prominent Telugu personalities, ranging from politicinas, artists to jnanapeeth awardees and freedom fighters.
A rotating table will take visitors on a comprehensive audio tour of the journey of the Telugu language since its birth. The highlight however has to be the statues and miniatures of historical Telugu figures and prominent places in the Telugu states made out of Fibre Reinforced Plastic!
