12 Telugu Directors Who Made It Big In The B-Town!
We all know T-Town lends a lot of scripts to the B-Town. But isn't just scripts, we lend talent too. From delivering Block Busters to creating trends we share many honours from the B-Town thanks to our film-makers. So here are a few film makers who struck gold in the B-Town.

1. K. Bapayya

K. Bapayya, or more famously the director of Soggadu, was among the first to strike in the North. His first flick in Bollywood, 'Dildaar' was a remake of his cult hit Soggadu. The rest to follow were Dil aur Deewar, Pataal Bhairavi and many more. He was well known for his association with Jeetendra.

2. K. Raghavendra Rao (B. A.)

Often credited as the first director of the lot to strike gold in Bollywood from the south, the Darsakendra will forever be remembered by the north for Himmatwala.

3. Dasari Narayana Rao

The Darsakaratna might not have shared the same share of limelilght in the north as he did in the south, but he did manage to give the North some great flicks like 'Pyaasa Sawan'.

4. K. Viswanath

K. Viswanath launched a newbie Anil Kapoor, as the lead actor for his first Bollywood flick ' Sargam'. And the newbie has now scaled heights in Bollywood the Guru now will surely be proud of.

5. Bapu

The pride of the Telugu landdid manage to make his mark in the Bollywood. 'Hum Paanch' (also remade in Telugu as Manavoori Pandavulu) had an ensemble cast of Mithoon Chakraborhy, Sanjeev Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah and many more.

6. E.V.V. Satyanarayana

E.V.V. will forever be remembered as the director of the most telecast movie ever on Set Max. SURYAVAMSHAM. Period.

7. Ram Gopal Varma

If there is one guy Bollywood will forever be indebted to Telugu Cinema for, it will Ram Gopal Varma. He didn't just strike gold, he struck a chord. And he didn't just leave it there. He is the reason Bollywood can boast of Anurag Kashyap, Shimit Amin, Manoj Bajpayee and many more. Simply put, 'He came. He saw. He conquered.'

8. Puri Jagannadh

Puri Jagannadh first attempt in the North, 'Shart - A Challenge' was a bomb. But he later managed to settle the score with Buddah Hoga Tera Baap with the Shahenshah in the lead.

9. Krrish

The latest Telugu filmmaker in the B-Town is also the first to make it into the 100 crore list with Gabbar Starring Akshay Kumar in the lead. Now, after handling a historical period drama like Gautamiputra Sathakarni he's taken up another prestigious project called 'Manikarnika' starring Kangana Ranaut as the great Jhansi Lakshmibai. This film is scheduled to release on 25 January 2019.

10. Deva Katta: He is remaking his most beloved film 'Prasthanam' with Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and Manisha koirala. Hope he recreates the magic over there.

11 & 12. Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. You might know this duo from the film ' D for Dopidi' starring Varun Sandesh & Sandeep Kishan. They actually made their debut in Bollywood with their film '99' in 2009 & since made films like critically acclaimed ' Shor in the City', 'Go Goa Gone', 'Happy Ending', 'A Gentleman' and recent hit film ' Stree '.
