Born in a very small village near Hindupur in Ananthapur district, Rajendra Vinod achieved what many people dreamt of and thought as impossible. Driven by his passion towards film making, worked making sky as his limits. In a place where film making is still not known to many, he reached the highest level that every film maker dreams of.
Rajendra Vinod holds records not only in film making but also in studies as well. By the age of 23, he finished his B.Sc in Psychology, B.Tech and MSc Industrial and Organizational Psychology through Annamalai University Distance Education, MA Journalism and Mass communication through Sikkim Manipal University and MSc Multimedia in Wiztoonz College of Media & Design. Through this he received an award for completing most graduations by the age of 23.
His film making graph is equally successful. He was attracted to this fantasy world at a very young age of 11. He made short films which received acclaims from critics and film lovers. So far Vinod has directed ten films as a producer and director, all under his production house, Aarvi Films. His films have won many national and International awards as well. His short film ‘Change’ has been added to the Oscar screenplay list. His production house, Aarvi has been awarded as the ‘Best emerging production house’ in the Indian Cine Film Festival and in Delhi Short International film festival. His short film Changed was dubbed in 11 languages (English, French, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi Gujarati, Marathi, Assamese and Bengali) - the most for any short film - helping it seal a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records under the “Most Translated (dubbed) Short Film ". Besides Change, his another short film Lepakshi is also the most critically acclaimed film of him.
This multi facetted youngster also tried his hand in writing. He recently finished the script of his first book, ‘Ekaveni’, describing the story behind Sita’s abduction. The book is a mythological thriller providing us the back story and historical events which lead to her abduction. He was also given ‘Honorary Doctorate’ in the year 2015 by World Records University making him the youngest film maker to ever receive this doctorate. He was recently facilitated by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri N. Chandra Babu Naidu.
His parents and the inspiration they gave lead him to this huge success, says this young achiever. He shows us that if we let our imaginations fly, there are no heights one couldn’t reach. These youngsters are the inspiration to many, who chose art to make this world a better place. Their works fill us with hope for the better tomorrow.
