'Assam' is a place that's extremely famous in Telugu states, for totally different reasons. But jokes aside, North East India is hands down, one of the most beautiful and unexplored places in India. Here's a list of breathtaking places to visit in North East India.

1. Majuli, Assam

A stunning island located on Brahmaputra, is considered as one of the world's largest and beautiful 'Water Districts' in the world.

2. Moirang, Manipur

The famous 'World's only floating national park', Kiebul Lamjao National park is located right here. With a great view of Loktak lake, and the swams in it, this place is paradise to visit.

3. Kyongnosla, Sikkim

Difficult to pronounce, but this is one of the very rare places where you'll find endangered 'Red Pandas'. That's because, Kyongnosla Wildlife Sanctuary is a home endangered species. Also, the view of Lake Tsongmo, cannot be missed at any cost.

4. Dawki, Meghalaya

Located on the border of India & Bangladesh. Remember the bridge scene in 'Goodachari'? This is where they've shot it probably. The bride was built by Britishers in 1932, and is still functional.

The natural water in the river is so pure that, it used to be completely transparent. You could actually see the bottom of the river with naked eye. But now its all gone, the water isn't transparent. But hey, this is a great unexplored place.

5. Phawngpui, Mizoram

Phawngpui is the highest peak in Mizoram. This place is popularly known as 'Blue Mountains' because of the great view. A great place to visit for the people who love 'Hill Stations.'

6. Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh

SNOW!!! All the people who want to experience snow only know places in Himachal Pradesh like Manali and Shimla. These places are so crowded in tourist season that, recently there was water scarcity in the entire Shimla.

But on the other side, places like Tawang in North East India are unbelievably great snow places that are 'less' explored.

Unakoti means '1 less than a crore' i.e. 99,99,999. Which symbolically means, the place has lakhs of sculptures that are truly unique.
