Every year in AP & TG approximately 2500 children are born totally deaf. If not treated in the first 3-5 years of life they will remain hearing and speech challenged all their lives.
SAHI is an NGO which was started in 2004 by a group of ENT surgeons, Audiologists, Hospital Management Personnel and some other good samaritans to help these unfortunate children.Till date SAHI has held 65 Camps, distributed 900 Hearing Aids, adopted a constituency in TG to make it a Deaf free region!
