National Award For Best Writing On Cinema This Time Is Claimed By A Telugu-ite!
So the 62nd National Awards are out! And it seems the awards were indeed bestowed to an indeed worthy lot. While every language of India is celebrating their respective wins, a Telugu writer, Pasupuleti Purnachandra Rao swept the Best Writing on Cinema with his book, Silent Cinema.
The book sums up the advent of cinema right from when it was conceived in France sometime in 1895 to the end of the Mooki cinema era in 1930. Appreciated by all the who's-who of the Cinema industry this book clearly had a level of intellect that had to be acknowledge and was thus paid its due.
