With the metro trains in Hyderabad all set to begin from this November, the metro stations are gearing up for the inauguration. Many added facilities are being provided to the passengers. Modern technologies that are used in countries like Singapore are being introduced. For the 30-km drive from Miyapur to Nagole, there are around 24 stations.
Major stations like Miyapur are going to get a creative makeover with artists around the city putting efforts in designing the stations. There are flyovers being built from certain stations to get down to the road way. Spending 2 crores on each station and more than 250 crores on Interchange, it is targeting on the transport from the metro station as well. There will be separate service roads that would be built on either sides of the station and place for autos and taxis. According to the space available, there will be service roads that are 7 metres wide all along the station. The speciality is the cycles that will be available and the greenbelts.
The way between Miyapur and Rahgiri is going to be the cultural centre with special facilities for painting, dance and play areas. The roof tops of all the bus shelters near the metro stations will have solar panels arranged on them. In the whole of 64 stations in the city, 34 stations will have multi storied parking area. Targeting mainly on the outlook of the station, they are arranging funky furniture which is going to give it a quirky look. This model of the metro stations is going to make the space conservation easy. Pollution of the city is also expected to be decreased by the introduction of metro.
