Meet The Tribal Boy From Telangana Who Successfully Scaled Mt Kilimanjaro On The Eve Of Independence Day!

On the eve of Independence day, India has been awarded a perfect gift by a 10th grade student of Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential School, Asifabad. Mallesh Naini, has made both India and Telangana proud by triumphantly conquering Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. He is the first to scale this 19,341 feet mountain from his tribe. Nani and his team of 13 members started the trek on August 10 and reached the peak by night on August 14. They unfurled a 100ft Tricolor atop the mountain on the eve of Independence Day. The team members also sang the National Anthem after successfully conquering the mountain.

Mallesh also displayed the picture of our honorable Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, as a sign of gratitude. He was thankful to the Chief Minister for providing such amazing opportunities to the tribal population in Telangana. As a mark of respect to his tribal hero, he displayed the picture of Khomaram Bheem as well. Mallesh, who belongs to the particularly vulnerable tribal group known as Mannevar, also displayed the picture of Babasaheb Ambedkar atop the mountain. He thanked the State Government and the Tribal Welfare Residential School for granting him with opportunities outside academics which helped in boosting his confidence levels. Because of this experience, he says he was able to prove that anything is possible and achievable if the people are presented with right chances and facilities. Not complaining about his underprivileged background, Mallesh has achieved so much at a young age. His economic situation has not discouraged him, but has only pushed him towards success.

The state government must be really appreciated for this gesture since it is making mountaineering reality to the tribal people who are struggling for even basic amenities and facilities. Mallesh also said that it was his first flight experience, since he hails from a family with poor economic background and he never imagined that he would have access to such brilliant experiences from which he would learn life lessons and be introduced to the outside world. A long way to go Mallesh, All The Best!
