“Travel” is something which keeps me alive all the time. When you get to meet a person with the similar thoughts, everyday is an adventure then...every weekend at least. Meeting her is something which I never expected, this weekend plan goes the same as well. Its 1’o’clock in the night, we were sitting in the beach, talking to each other. And then all of a sudden we wanted it go on a drive. Vizag, has one heck of an awesome marine drive. Three things always revolves in our mind if we are planning for a drive - Bheemili, Araku or Lambasingi. As the nights are getting colder these days, we planned to go down to Lambasingi.
3:30 am - Start from Vizag Its 3 in the morning. We are all set to enjoy our ride to Lambasingi. We had Hot and delicious Sambar idli at Sai Ram Parlour and geared up to our first destination ‘Lambasingi’. Lambasingi Hills or Lammasingi Hills is often referred as “Kashmir of Andhra Pradesh”. This hill station is situated at about 100km from Vishakhapatnam, perched at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level. This is the only place in Southern India, where you can experience snowfall sometimes in winter.
5:00 am - Sunrise at Lambasingi The cool breeze welcomed us to the place. It is getting colder and colder. And the next thing I realised is She is getting to me closer and closer. I stopped the bike and offered my jacket. She rejected saying that We came here to experience the chill, lets do that. We moved forward and reached a view point. We had set up the camp fire with the help of a local guy who is selling coffee there. The zero degree temperature giving us chill down the spine, and camp fire is keeping us bit warmer. It is one hell of an experience sitting down there and having a beautiful view of sun rise. There are lot of coffee plantations and scenic view which will refresh your mind.
8:00 am - Tajangi reservoir After enjoying a beautiful sunrise, we started riding towards our next destination Tajangi reservoir. On the way to the reservoir there were some breath taking scenic views. A lot of greenery all around.
12:00 pm – Yerravaram Next stop of our drive is “Yerravaram Waterfalls”. This is one of the unexplored waterfall which is situated in Yerravaram located amidst the mountains of Eastern Ghats. We reached the waterfall after a short hike and post that, we trekked down to the surrounding areas and reached few exotic viewpoints. After exploring the surroundings and witnessing some breath taking scenic views we trekked down to the foot hill
4::00 pm - Kondakarla Ava Kondakarla is a natural lake and bird sanctuary located towards south at a distance of 50 KM from Visakhapatanam. As Soon as you enter Kondakarla Ava the scenic beauty takes you over. The tranquil waters of a lake surrounded by coconut trees on one side and green hills all around provide a great escape from the air and sound pollution. A ride in the canoes enjoying the sun set is something one could never forget. Birds coming from distant lands like Siberia will treat you with the charm of their own. This place is also ideal for going for morning drive as well.
7:00 pm – Bean Board Vizag After spending one hell of a day close to nature, away from all the pollution we headed back to the city of destiny. We went to Bean Board, Ramanaidu Studios as it is one good place to sit and have a cup of coffee. “So?” I asked “So?” she repeated the same “Had a good time ?” “Of course yes. And you?” “Yes. I hope this day doesn’t end.”
