Here's How A Weekend Trip To Lonavala Can Change Your Perception About Life!

Getting over her is not that easy. It's been a week since she left me, but still I am living in a thought that she'll come back to me some day. I cried, I cried and now there are no tears left. I was just lying in my room. It's been a week I saw the light. Loneliness just drove me into the dark. I just don’t want to be left out here for rest of my life. I wanted to get over this whole love thingy. Love always leaves us in pain. It is us who have to find a way to come back to life. Movies, Books, Friends there are lot many ways. But I chose to travel to places and to write about people I meet. With some clothes, a camp tent and a dairy, I packed my bag and got onto my bike.

Day 1 : Mumbai – Exploring the streets of Dharavi Mumbai, being one of the richest cities in India, also holds the largest slum, Dharavi. In an attempt to try and understand the people and their lives, I chose this as my first destination. There is much more to Dharavi than poverty. It is an inspiring story about the ambition, ingenuity and hard work by people living in the harshest conditions. Dharavi houses about 10,000 businesses that export worldwide and make an annual turnover of around $665 million dollars per year. The half day tour in Dharavi made me learn how to see the light when we are in a dark face of life. And then I visited Juhu beach, Gateway of India and the spectacular marine drive.

Day – 2 : Lonavala – Rajmachi Fort The route via Mumbai Pune Expressway is enchanting in itself. It’s a 20Km flat walk from Lonavala to reach Rajmachi. I reached the base village Udhewadi and is 4km from Lonavala. It took almost 3-4hrs to trek down to Rajmachi Fort. The whole way made me meet many strangers, who guided me to the fort. Rajmachi peak has two fortified structures – the Shrivardhan fort and Manaranjan fort - Both the forts are good in structure, still maintained, best for Camping & sky watching. The 4 hrs long struggle just vanished when I stood there on the fort wall witnessing the beautiful scenery. To reach the peak, we need to cross many rough paths. The same goes with life as well.

Pawana Lake – Night Camping After tasting some local snacks in Lonavala, I reached my campsite at Pawana lake. The valleys vast horizon welcomed with the refreshingly cool breeze. I fixed my tent near lake side. There are also several other travellers camping there. Cool breeze, lite music and some pleasant conversations. The night star gazing experience is a treat watching. Lying in my tent I just lost into my thoughts, introspecting myself. And the next day when I woke up I woke up with a lot of positivity and happiness.

Day – 3 : Lavasa City Lavasa is among the first planned hill city and is set in the Sahyadri mountain ranges. It is city of happiness. The colourful building are a treat to watch. Varasgaon Dam is the chief attraction here which is situated on the banks of the Mose River. There are lot of adventurous activities, view points, food courts. And then I started my way back to Hyderabad. The road towards Pune from Lavasa via Dasve and Temghar dam was an absolute joy to drive on, not only because of the picturesque marvels of the nature, but also the supreme human touch, evident from the well-maintained road.

Travel - it brings us back from dark, it gives us a lot of positivity to lead our life, it gives us a chance to introspect ourself. And by the end it brings us back to life. That’s why “Travel”.
