This Hyderabadi Cop's Brave Act Saved The Lives Of Over 20 People From A Building On Fire!

Last Monday was just another day for most of us. However, it was a day filled with horror for the inhabitants of Osman Plaza in Mehdipatnam. A freak fire broke out in an office located in the building. This could have been the end of so many innocents if not for the timely intervention of Constable Bheem Rao from the nearby Humayun Nagar police station.

The building's watchman noticed a thick black smoke engulfing the first floor. He sent out a distress call to the nearby fire station around 11.30 AM. Bheem Rao who was on duty in the nearby PS also heard the news and rushed to the spot immediately. By then the fire had already spread to the second floor. Bheem Rao thought on his feet and removed an LPG cylinder from the first floor preventing a major explosion.

The panicking residents of the building were running up the stairs instead of down. Bheem Rao ran up and directed them all to head downstairs. He even carried several aged people, who were stranded in their homes, to safety. Bheem Rao's Daring act was appreciated by everyone including Telangana CM KCR. The police department held a felicitation for this brave constable recently where the CP, M Mahendar Reddy praised his presence of mind and bravery. We need more policemen like Constable Bheem Rao, who are willing to sacrifice their lives for their duty.
