A rooftop football arena, Hotfut is located on the terrace of the ten-storey White House - Block III building in Begumpet.
Ideal for playing five-a-side football, there are two pitches measuring 60x90 at the venue and the entire playing space in enclosed by durable and high quality nets with a height of 25 ft.
It is not a commercial venture. The founders, Pavit Singh and Nikhil Dubois, want to encourage football at the grassroots level and bring more people to come and play the sport. It’s all about building participation, and with spaces like these, more young kids who are passionate about the game can channel their skills and play for ISL and other leagues.
HotFut was originally started in Pune in 2012. After its resounding success, they decide to expand to other cities before bringing it to Hyderabad.
It is partnering with the passionate trio of Danesh Mistry, Ranjan Mathew and Youhan Mistry and aims to increase sports engagement in the twin cities.
Both pitches are installed with 3rd generation FIFA 2-Star-rated artificial grass, which provides consistent bounce and controlled ball roll. The non-abrasive fibres and rubber in-fill offers a greater freedom of movement for players.
In addition to providing a platform for sports lovers to come and play, HotFut have also partnered with Arsenal Soccer School football coaching camp, that focuses on long-term systematic coaching and mentorship for budding footballers.
Despite providing world-class facilities, HotFut founders insist that it’s a passion-driven enterprise and is not for commercial interests. The basic booking is for a single 1-hour slot, but people can make bulk advance bookings for multiple hours. The price ranges from Rs 1000 to Rs 2000 per hour.
For more people to come here and play, they decided not to include memberships, etc. There are a lot of elite clubs, for which one requires special membership to go and play. The idea is to build more participation. For that reason, they have also made the pricing minimal. Starting at Rs 1000 an hour: so if 10 people pool in money, it comes to Rs 100 an hour, which is cheaper than watching a movie!
