Ram Gopal Varma offered him a Hindi film from his production house. Krishna Vamsi offered a 50:50 profit sharing film to him from his production house 'Andhra Talkies'. These two offers came to this director even before his maiden venture as a director

He tried to get permissions from the Zurich, Sweden and Munich, Germany airports for shooting Prayanam film. As he wanted to shoot for over 25 days at a stretch, the airports could not permission for more than 5 – 8 days. Eventually they zeroed in on Malaysian airport because they could obtain permission to shoot at a stretch.
