The Ganesh idol of this place is the one of the tallest in the world, averaging sometimes to 60 feet. Mr. S Sankarayya’s brother Mr S. Sudharshan is continuing the tradition of Ganesh Pooja in Khairathabad successfully for the last 62 years. On the 11th day, this gigantic idol will be immersed in the Hussain Sagar lake as per the tradition.

This year, High Court and Telangana government requested the committee not to increase the height of the Ganesh idol like every year as it would be tough to move the idols for immersion.
