Planning for a short weekend getaway? Here is an interesting place which you can fortunately cover in a day - Chincholi (Near Telangana Karnataka border) is around 140kms from Hyderabad. It is surrounded by Gottamgutta forest area and have some beautiful places to visit. Here are some things you must do:
1. Chincholi Wildlife Sanctuary
Chincholi Wildlife Sanctuary is close to Zaheerabad. After a decent drive, Gottamgutta forest welcomes you with lush green mountains acting as a home to wide variety of wildlife. Thinking of wildlife - You can spot few Vervet monkeys for sure and that’s all I can promise ?
A small trek down the mountain will lead you to River Bhima and some beautiful views.
2. Gottamgutta Waterfalls
We have this cute little place called Gottamgutta waterfalls within 16kms from Chincholi Wildlife Sanctuary. This is also called as Ethipothala waterfalls – don’t get confused between the Guntur one and this.
Here, there will be two little waterfalls with decent flow, you can enjoy in the one with small flow. Great place to chill out with friends.

3. Chandrampalli Dam
This Chandrampalli reservoir is exactly to the opposite side of the Chincholi wildlife sanctuary. With water on one side and a village on other will give some good views and photographic sceneries.
Carrying some food will be a wise option considering the Pandemic. Also, you won’t find any food places around Chincholi. Nearest hotels/dhabas will be in Zaheerabad.
I would recommend you to visit both Wildlife sanctuary and Waterfalls for a day outing. And only if time permits, you can visit Chandrampalli Dam (nothing much to explore). Or else you can happily head back to home.
