This Cable Suspension Bridge Idea Across Durgam Cheruvu Is Going To Be A Boon To Our I.T Employees!

If you take a look into the everyday life of a Hyderabadi software employee, or if you are one, then you will know the pain of facing our city traffic. Even if you stay in the nearby areas, getting to the office on time through this traffic torture is a big task. And for people travelling through Madhapur, Mehdipatnam, Jubilee Hills routes, we understand the hell you go through everyday. With almost 800 vehicles getting added to our city roads every single day, our Telangana State Government has come up with an idea to relieve citizens of this problem.

According to the latest news, Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development K.T. Rama Rao garu will inaugurate the building of a Suspension-bridge across Durgam Cheruvu in Madhapur. The bridge will start at the existing junction near I-labs (Inorbit Mall end), and via the parking area of Telangana Tourism Department and over the Durgam Cheruvu lake, will finally connect Jubilee Hills Road No.45 at Ambedkar Open University main entrance. This will be an extra-dosed cable stayed bridge, first of its kind in our state. It is similar to the models of Kolkata's Vidyasagar Bridge and Bandra-Worli Sea Link Bridge of Mumbai. The estimated cost of this bridge is around Rs. 184 Crores and is expected to be ready for citizens by Feb, 2019.

This bridge will help with the flow of traffic through Gachibowli, Hitech City, financial district as well as Jubilee Hills Road No.36 and 45. Along with these plans, our government also decided to convert the area surrounding Durgam Cheruvu into a tourist spot by constructing 2.20 kms of cycling track, a children's park, yoga park along with a space dedicated to Ganesh immersion for the nimajjanam ceremony. We hope this bridge will get ready soon and ease the biggest problem faced by our IT people.
