As if Hyderabad did not have history slathered all over the city in even the urban-most places, we just keep walking into remains of the olden times when we least expect it.
In a place a few kilometers away from Charminar, at the Bandi ka Adda, digging for a foundation led to the uncovering of ancient underground tunnels. What they were for, is yet to be figured out by the Archeological Department. But the residents of the area seem to be positive that they were a secret bunkers for the Nizam soldiers.
Sounds pretty cool, doesn't it!? But, the official account isn't out yet and we probably will have to wait before we get a real slice of history from the Archeology Department soon!
