Youth For Seva – Hyderabad for the first time is organizing a “Story-fied” event On 21st, 22nd and 23rd of July to the children from under-served communities.
Stories are powerful. They help inculcate values, and entertain us too! They make us see things in a new light and think in ways we’ve never thought before. Telling stories is a large part of what makes people connected to each other. Story telling was a family affair earlier where our grand parents used to narrate many stories. But with the current technological influences, it is hard to find such instances in many homes. In order to bring back this custom, and encourage the art of story telling, YFS is organizing this event where in the volunteers go to schools, slums, orphanages and narrate an inspirational story to the students.
Story-fied is the event which will be conducted across 500 locations in the twin cities with a target of 10,000 volunteers who will be narrating a story based on the theme of 'Resilience' for 1 million children from the under-served communities, over a single weekend (July 21st – July 23rd, 2017).
Corporate's like Dell, Google and many IT companies are supporting this event by encouraging their employees to participate in this event... In addition students from many colleges, teachers and people from various backgrounds are also supporting the event. And Youth For Seva requests all to come forward and be a part of this mega volunteering event.

About Youth For Seva: Youth For Seva(YFS) is a non-profit organisation which aims to empower and enable individuals from under resourced backgrounds of the society. A chapter of Youth for Seva, was set up in Hyderabad in 2010. It operates on a motto of engaging youth in volunteering, thereby connecting them with various communities of society.
