All You Need To Know About Air India's Flight That Has The World’s First All-Female Aircraft Crew!

In a bid to celebrate the spirit of International Women’s Day (March 8), Air India did our country proud by announcing an aircraft crew featuring women only. Here are some facts about the new Guinness World Record:

The flight was from New Delhi to San Francisco – one of the longest flights in the world! The Boeing 777 flew over the Pacific Ocean on its trip to the US, while its return flight was over the Atlantic, encircling the globe, Air India said in a press statement.

When Air India said it was all-female, it really was Yes, a hundred percent of the crew – including pilots, flight attendants, air traffic control, ground handling and check-in staff – are women.

More flights will be all-women from now on As part of the celebrations on International Women's Day which is observed on March 8 every year, the flag carrier of India has also decided to operate similar flights on its domestic and other international routes.
