A year ago someone asked Arjun what is destiny, he didn’t have an answer then. But now he found one. “Meeting a person who matches your madness and you happen to marry her”. That’s what he calls destiny. To build a strong and loving bond with someone doesn’t need ages, sometimes a small conversation can do to the same. They met as strangers and ended up being spouses. And you might be wondering what connected them? “Their love for travel”. It is just 3 hours since they got married and now they were at their houses packing their bags to enjoy their travel. This time not alone but together. Call it “honeymoon”, call it an “adventure” but for them it is just one more addition to their travel list. It’s not about distance, it is all about destinations.
Day 1 : Chapora Fort Goa – Sunrise
Chapora fort is located northern Goa overlooking the Vagator beach and offers one spectacular sunrise view. It is familiar to us as the “Dil Chahtha Hai” fort. From the fort one can get a commanding view of the Vagator beach, Ozran Beach, Morjim Beach and the mouth of Chapora river. The fort has wide walls with ramparts over which one can walk and go around the fort. The walls are lined with arrow slits, gun ports and murder holes at regular intervals. After witnessing the beautiful sunrise, they kick-started their day with a cup of coffee at Chapora.
8am – Scuba diving – Calanguete
After having light breakfast they drove towards Calanguete, one of the popular and largest beaches in Goa. Also it is one of the best spots for adventure sports. After having breakfast they reached to Calanguete to experience one of the adventurous and thrilling aqua experience, Scuba diving. They have it done it before, this time they are doing it together. For the beginners there will be prior training session. Exploring the sea bed, spending time together underwater, enjoying the rich flora and fauna, and lastly clicking a picture hugging each other. After 6 hours of unforgettable experience down the water they reached back on to the land lying side by side on the sands of Calanguete beach.
8pm – Velsao Beach
Does someone call this a honeymoon? Their friends asked few hours ago. For normal people it’s not. Surely this couple are abnormal because they are obsessed with travel. We want to enjoy the day, they want to enjoy the destination. Holding hands, walking on sands of Calanguete beach they are enjoying the sounds of waves and the pleasure of having each other on their side. After having lunch at Calanguete they headed towards Velsao, one of most romantic place in Goa. We can call it a heaven for couples. They spent an unforgettable night there in Velsao.
Day 2 – 8am – Doodh sagar waterfalls
Its almost 8:15 in the morning, and they started to their next getaway “Doodhsagar Waterfalls” which 80kms from Calanguete. Dudhsagar waterfall is an experience like no other. Located at Goa-Karnataka border, it is the 4th tallest waterfall in India. Once they reached the main entrance they hired a jeep provided by forest dept along with a life jacket. Each side trip take 45 minutes ride through the forest area. Jeep will take you through forest and crosses the river 3 times, till the time you reach at Water Fall site.

Murudeshwar is a picturesque place bounded by the Arabian Sea and Western Ghats. Murudeshwar is one of the most famous tourist places to visit in Karnataka, for it’s pilgrimage importance apart from being a popular beach resort. It is famous for the world’s second tallest Shiva statue (123 ft) & tallest temple tower (249 ft) of Murudeshwar Temple. The sea on three sides surrounds the temple towering on the small hill called Kanduka Giri. This is a great place to watch the sunset.
Night camping – Madikeri
Whether you are adventure lover, traveler or nature lovers, Madigeri near Coorg will lay a claim to your hearts as soon as you get here. Nestled peacefully on the eastern slopes of the Western Ghats, the terrains of Coorg are hilly and green. Its almost 9 in the night. They set up the camp tents and camp fire and enjoyed the next few hours in the dark and silence.
Day 3 – 9am – Namdroling Monastery
Namdroling Monastery also locally known as the “Golden temple”, situated over a small hill settlement called “Bylakuppe” is one of the largest teaching center of Tibetan Buddhism in the world, situated near KushalNagar, Madikeri in Karnataka. As it is their first trip together, they don’t want to miss the devotion part.
A day exploring Coorg
Witnessing whirling trails, picturesque tea and coffee plantations, numerous trekking routes and the hilly environments of the ‘Scotland of India’; they enjoyed a fun and exciting last day of their travel .They went on exploring the nearby waterfalls and discovering the fascinating cascades situated in one of the private estates in Bettigeri. After visiting the attractions nearby , the Rajas Seat, Omkareshwara Temple, Abbi Falls, Bhagamandala they started back to the City of Pearls, Hyderabad.
You might be wondering who am I to know this couple’s complete tour plan. I am one of those travellers like Arjun who is still looking for a partner to match my madness. And I happen to meet this couple on their way back to Hyderabad.
