So I know it sounds ridiculous for a lot of people to be going out for a meal and ordering vegetarian. But trust me there is a lot to it too! Now I’m not talking about the obvious choices, that our parents are extremely and illogically loyal to but the others that emerged! Those times at home when you are restricted from eating non-veg or the times when you’re feeling adventurous, or for those who are well… vegetarians; here’s a little list of the best places to have a vegetarian meal at its best. Yes, I’ve been to all these places and hogged like there’s no tomorrow!
Where: Somajiguda Circle.
Why: If you pick lunch, then there will be every kind of Indian delicacy that you would enjoy. And if its dinner, don’t forget to order Potli Biryani, it comes straight from heaven.
What: A’la liberty
Where: Road no 12, Banjara Hills
Why: One of the very few vegetarian restaurants that serve continental. Go for the buffet, don’t miss the live Pasta counter.
What: Ohris De Thali
Where: White House, Begumpet.
Why: You can pick from Rajasthani Thali or possibly the largest Veg buffet in town. The service makes you feel like you’re at home.
What: Taj Mahal
Where: Jubilee Hills
Why: To eat in style; also because the button idlies on the buffet laden with ghee are to die for.
What: Mana Illu Vasantha Bhavan
Where: Road No 10 Banjara Hills
Why: Because the usual Veg restaurants that serve south Indian cuisine are too mainstream. Also it’s pocket-friendly in comparison.
What: Filmy Tadka
Why: It’s a modest restaurant that serves honest food. Don’t ask for anything specifically spicy, because they’ll fire it up!
Where: Road no 1, Banjara Hills
Why: Majorly because of the hygienic and authentic Gujrati food. Also because sweets!
Where: Hitech City
Why: Fancier than its name sounds, this place serves Mexican and Chinese cuisine as well. Also one of the very few Veg ones that serve continental.
What: Rajdhani Thali
Where: Road no 3, Banjara Hills
Why: For its authentic Rajasthani and Gujrati delicacies. And for its variety.
Where: Jubilee Hills
Why: To enjoy the Authentic Italian and Mexican flavours in unusual combinations. Taquito and Penne Pink are must try
What: Spicy Klub
Where: Jubile Hills
Why: Desi flavours presented in different styles with unique combinations. Don’t miss Pav Bhaji Fonde, Mango On The Rocks
What: Little Italy
Where: Filmnagar and Hi-tech city
Why: To experience good ambience along with authentic tasty italian cuisine. Can’t miss Bruschetta al pomodoro, choclate mousse cake.
