India’s Leading Auto Mobile manufacturer “TVS” yesterday launched its flagship premium motorcycle “Apache RR310” or also known as the “AKULA 310” and “RR 310S”. This is the most anticipated launch event of 2017 and will compete directly with other contemporary makers like Bajaj, KTM, Royal Enfield and Kawasaki.
After announcing their collaboration with BMW earlier this year, TVS has used BMW’s G310R engine in its latest RR310. Speaking about naming the bike as “Akula”, the makers have stated that “the name “Akula” was derived from the Russian word for shark” since the body and build of the bike was inspired from it.
The Apache RR 310, from TVS Motor Company, will be available from a starting price of Rs. 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike is presented as an everyday use, basic sports bike, which will also serve in multiple roles like long drives, touring motorcycle and occasional track bike too. Just like any other variant of Bajaj Pulsar’s 180, 200, 220, and etc models.
The TVS Apache RR 310 is set to revolutionize the basic -level motorcycle segment in India with a beautifully built, well-designed motorcycle and state of the art engine. Apache RR 310 will compete against a wide range of motorcycles that are available in our domestic market. A few of other options available in this similar segment are Mahindra Mojo, Bajaj Dominar, KTM 390 Duke, KTM RC 390 and the Benelli 302 R.
The RR 310 bookings for common consumers will commence by the end of December 2017 and the deliveries will begin from early next year.
