Every Hyderabadi’s dream Metro rail, finally was opened for operations and people are loving it. Every Metro station is equipped with state of the art technologies to serve the consumers. Among all one thing which is grabbing everyone’s attention is “Smart Bikes”. Smart bikes, By-cycles, which are seen with blue in colour, and parked in a row at the Miyapur are another attraction at the Metro station. With Smart bikes, Hyderabadis will also have the option of pedalling their way to their destinations from Metro stations. This will not only reduce pollution in the city but will also aid in Hyderabadis staying fit.

These bicycles imported from Germany can be rented and users will be charged on hourly basis. All of the bicycles have been given a number and also have a small carriage on the front side of the handle. This basket is to place things in it. The bicycles will also be fitted with GPS and their location wherever they are, and being used by commuters will be known. Passengers willing to use the SmartBike will have to download a rent app or it can be done either by a rent card. People can rent a bicycle using this smart bike app by entering the code present in the cycle. The main idea is to discourage use of motorized transport to get to the Metro stations and in turn reduce pollution. Cykul is the company who won the contract to operate its cycles at Miyapur, KPHB, Nagole, Uppal stadium and Habsiguda Metro stations.
