If everything goes as per the plan , vizagites may witness a performance by pop sensation Shakira. Yes,the Pop Diva Shakira is going to add glamour to the Vizag Beach Love Fest with her electrifying performance. The Beach Love Festival which is planned to be held in February-2017 at Vizag.

The organizers of this festival are Positive Global Services and Consultancy of Mumbai. They have already visited Erramatti Dibbalu, Sagarnagar and Thotla Konda near vizag to select a 10 acre site to hold this mega event. Earlier, this type of event was held in Goa.

According to the organizers of Vizag Beach Love Festival event, they are welcoming about 9,000 couples across the globe. This event has many activities like food stalls,beauty contests, Dance programs by Tollywood and Bollywood stars as per the sources.

AP Tourism Development Corporation executive director R Sreeramulu Naidu in a press release said that the proposed ‘beach love festival’ in the port city of Visakhapatnam is a private program and the government would not have any authority over it. The festival will be jointly held by Department of Youth Affairs, Tourism Department and Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority.

However, leaders and activists of various women organizations are opposing the proposed Beach Lovers Festival (BLF-2017) in Vizag saying that this event would damage the city’s tradition and culture by promoting the fest which may contain alcohol and obscenity.
