How A 51 Year Old Hyd Man Passed 10th Class After 33 Years, Thanks To Corona

The impact of corona virus & its lockdown in India has been very different for everyone. While most people suffered the crisis. It was a very weirdly special time for a few people.

One such person we’re talking about today is a 51-year-old man from Hyderabad, Mohammad Nooruddin who finally cleared his 10th class exams after 33 years (yes, you read that right).

This happened when the Telangana government had decided to cancel the SSC exams and decided to promote all the students due to the pandemic.

Mohammad Nooruddin first appeared for the SSC exam in 1987 but could not clear the mandatory English paper. He said, he could secure above 40 per cent in all the subjects including mathematics, Urdu, but could never crack English.

He said,

“I was weak in English as there was no one to help me. But I studied with the support of my brother and sister. I consistently failed in exam for 33 years, but I applied every year as for a job of a security guard, I was asked to give class 10 results.”

The 51-year-old never stopped trying, and finally got success just when he was about to give up.

He said,

“I applied this time thinking that it was my last attempt. I also requested the officials to scrap English, but it was against the rules. So, I applied for the exam and was pleased to know that I passed as per government guidelines.”

He aimed for SSC because of his desire to get a job to secure his future.

He said, “I always wanted to be part of the police force or defence services. But, my dream could not be fulfilled as I was unable to clear the exam.”

He is working as a security guard at Anjuman Boys High School, Musheerabad since 1990.

Speaking to ANI, He said,

I will continue my studies and will complete my graduation and post graduation too. I want a job. An educated man is respected everywhere.

His family members, especially his 90-year-old father, are quite happy about the result. Nooruddin lives with his three sons, a daughter and his wife. His two sons just passed intermediate, and his daughter is a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) graduate.

Here’s a video of him speaking about it:

Congrats andi Nooruddin garu, This is a special moment for you in these weird times.
