New Traffic Rules That Are Gonna Give Nightmares To Middle Class People

 

Traffic rules in various cities like, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Nagpur, Chandigarh and Ahemdabad have changed and the fines for violaters have been severely increased, so much that they’ll give nightmares to middle class people. Check them out below.

 

1. No Helmet

Old Fine: ₹100

New Fine: ₹1000 & upto 3 months of Driving License disqualification.


 

2. No Seatbelt

Old Fine: ₹100

New Fine: ₹1000


 

3. Blocking way of emergency vehicles.

New Fine: ₹10,000 / Upto 6 months of jail or BOTH.


 

4. Driving without license

Old Fine: ₹500 / upto 3 months of jail or BOTH

New Fine: ₹5000 / upto 3 months of jail or BOTH.

₹10,000 / upto 1 year of jail or BOTH for subsequent offence (repeat violators).


 

5. Driving despite disqualification (without license)

Old Fine: ₹500 / upto 3 months of jail or BOTH.

New Fine: ₹10,000 / upto 3 months of jail or BOTH


 

6. Speeding / Racing

Old Fine: ₹500 / upto 3 months of jail or BOTH.

New Fine: ₹5000 / upto 3 months of jail for first time offence

₹10,000 / upto of jail for repeat offenders.


 

7. Offence by Juveniles (Under-aged teens)

New Fine: Vehicle owner/ Guardian will be deeemed guilty. 25,000 fine with 3 years of jail. Cancellation of vehicle registration for 1 year. No license will be provided to accused juvenile till he/she attains 25 years.


 

8. Drunk Driving

Old Fine: ₹2000 / upto 6 months of jail or BOTH.

New Fine: ₹10,000 / upto 6 months of jail for first time offence

₹15,000 / upto 2 years of jail for repeat offenders.


 

9. Jumping Traffic Lights (With dangerous driving)

Old Fine: ₹100 for first time offence. ₹300 for repeat offenders.

New Fine: ₹1000 – ₹5000 / upto 6 months of jail for first time offence

₹15,000 / upto 2 years of jail for repeat offenders.


 

10. Use of loud horn, exhaust.

New Fine: ₹1000 for first time offence

₹2000 for repeat offenders.


 

11. Uninsured Vehicles (Vehicles without insurance)

Old Fine: ₹1000 / 3 months of jail or BOTH

New Fine: ₹2000 / upto 3 months of jail for first time offence

₹4000 / upto 3 months of jail for repeat offenders.


 

12. Use of mobile while driving/ Wrong Overtaking/ Driving against traffic flow

Old Fine: ₹1000 / 6 months of jail or BOTH

New Fine: ₹1000 – ₹5000 / upto 3 months to 6 months of jail for first time offence

₹10,000 / upto 2 years of jail for repeat offenders.
