She is also the first player to score 7 consecutive 50s in ODIs and also the first Indian to have led the national team to an ICC ODI World Cup final twice both in 2005 and 2007. She was honoured with Arjuna award and also Padma Shri in 2015. Also, she has been listed in World’s 100 most influential and innovative women (2017) by the BBC.
She also proved herself to be a strong lady, when she responded to the trolls over her recent pic of selfie with friends. Though she was trolled many times during her cricket journey, she always maintained her calm composure. Many instances of her during public appearances prove that she’s a lady of few words but many actions. She was recently featured on the cover of ‘Vogue’ magazine alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Nita Ambani. Her biopic will remain as an inspiration for many women and keep motivating the coming generations as well.
