Meet The Hyderbadis Who Made It To Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia List!

 

Hyderabad, this city has been emerging as the home of talents and the recent Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2018 list proves it. Four Hyderabadi’s have made the city proud by making into that list. Badminton player P V Sindhu, Gayam Motor Works co-founder Rahul Gayam, Stumagz founders Frederick Devarampati and Sri Charan Lakkaraju and Stanplus Tech co-founder Prabhdeep Singh have been featured on it. Spanning a region with almost 60% of the world’s population, Forbes’ 3o Under 30 Asia list highlights 300 young individuals driving change here. With more than 2,000 deserving nominations this year, choosing our finalists was no easy task, and those who landed a spot had to fight off stiff competition from the best Asia has to offer across a range of industries and disciplines.


This year, India came first with 65 nominations, while China took second spot with 59 honorees. Hyderabadi Star Badminton player P.V. Sindhu made it to the list in Entertainment and Sports category. “No one has made India quite so proud in the last two years as badminton start P.V.Sindhu” Forbes said on its website. The badminton star made us all proud by winning the first silver medal for India in Rio Olympics.


Adding to it, three more entrepreneurs from Hyderabad also got into the list in different categories. One of the highly successful and much-appreciated product-based startup from T-Hub Gayam Motor Works (GMW) also got featured on the list with its co-founder Rahul Gayam who is 29-year-old. GMW are the makers of electric vehicles by using technologies like IoT, cloud and in-house battery pack. It is the world’s first electric autorickshaw with Li-Ion battery and with a battery-swapping system. The startup has partnered with Uber, Bigbasker and eKart. Also they partnered with Smart Cities Project to launch these vehicles in Andhra Pradesh.


The other two includes stuMagz, a digital media platform for students and by students and Stan plus which is aimed to solve the problem of ambulance shortage in the country. Co-Founders of stuMagz Frederick Devarampati and Sri Charan Lakkaraju were featured in Forbes Media, Marketing and Advertising category. stuMagz is a Digital Campus Ecosystem to efficiently engage Prospects, Students, Faculty, Staff and Alumni. Stan Plus Technologies which is being started in Hyderabad, now has its presence in eight cities wherein it provides private medical transportation either through its own fleet or the ones that it has aggregated. When a call is received, StanPlus locates the nearest ambulance and after pickup directs it to the best care facility. StanPlus has served more than 15,000 patient calls in the last eight months. 30-year-old Prabhdeep Singh is the co-founder of this company.
