Hyderabad’s RGI Airport Is Ranked #1 In The World In Terms Of Service Quality!
The prestigious “RAJIV GANDHI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT” (RGIA) HYDERABAD, was ranked 1st in the world by AIRPORTs Council International (ACI) survey for 2016. In the Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA) category GMR’s Hyderabad airport has secured the first position leaving behind other well know airports in India and world. The authorities claim that Hyderabad airport has improved drastically from 2009 which then was having 4.1 out of 5 and now stands 4.9 out of 5 for the year 2016. This score helped it secure the top rank in the survey.
Mr. S.G. Kishore CEO, RGIA, quoted to a news channel “The immense efforts put in by our partner airlines, concessionaires, housekeeping and other support staff have played a major role in this achievement”, he said. Already into its 9th year of operations Hyderabad Airport, is designed to cater to 12MPPA approximately. And now it has witnessed a growth of more than 20 per cent in the last year with a passengers close to 15MPPA last year. He also said “We soon plan to go for expansion of the airport, where it can enhance its capacity to meet 20 MPPA”.
It is also said that the award will be distributed at the ASQ award ceremony, which will be held at the 27th ACI Africa/World Annual General Assembly, Conference & Exhibition in Port Louis, Mauritius in the month of October.
